CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. Always be respectful.

  2. Help others improve and succeed.

  3. Talking should be kept to a minimum and relate to the class subject.

  4. Address all black belt instructors as Professor and all non-black belt instructors as Coach.

  5. Arrive on time. If you are late, wait outside the mats until the instructor invites you to join.

  6. If you are 15 minutes late, you will not be permitted to join class.

  7. Upon arrival, place your shoes on the shoe rack.

  8. Please keep all your belongings in the designated area(s).

  9. Be respectful of classes that are in session.

  10. Clean up after yourself. This includes: bathrooms, change rooms and common areas.

  11. No shoes, food, gum, or drinks allowed on the mats.

  12. No electronic devices on or around the mats.

  13. No foul language in the academy.

  14. No food permitted in the academy during any class times. 

Uniform & Hygiene

  1. White Gi’s only.

  2. Uniforms must be clean and in good condition.

  3. Uniforms must be washed after every use.

  4. Jiu-Jitsu is a close contact sport, please maintain good personal hygiene to avoid things such as body odor and bad breath.

  5. Nails must be trimmed.

  6. Ensure your hands and feet are clean before stepping onto the mats.

  7. Shirts must always be worn inside the academy.

  8. A rash guard or t-shirt must be worn under the gi top.

  9. All makeup, jewelry, and piercings must be removed during training.

  10. Do not train if you have any possible contagious skin irritations such as ringworm.

  11. If you are symptomatic or feeling unwell, do not train or enter the academy.

  12. Report any injury, health, or skin condition to an instructor.

Kids Classes

  1. All students must wear a Bora BJJ uniform (Gi).

  2. Students may enter no earlier than 15-minutes before class starts to ensure coaches are present.

  3. No spectators. If you wish to view class, please ask.

  4. Students are not to leave the mats without permission.

  5. Parents, you are responsible to ensure your child understands and follows these rules.
